Position Overview
The Equipment Manager will be responsible for the strategic oversight of all equipment utilized within our energy operations. This role encompasses procurement, maintenance, and lifecycle management, ensuring that all assets meet organizational performance, cost, and compliance standards. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with senior leadership, project managers, and field teams to support the company’s operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for equipment acquisition, deployment, and lifecycle management.
- Oversee routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure asset reliability and compliance with safety regulations.
- Establish and maintain vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and evaluate supplier performance.
- Track and report on equipment utilization, performance metrics, and cost efficiency.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across all equipment operations.
- Coordinate with project leadership to align equipment availability with operational schedules and requirements.
- Direct, mentor, and supervise equipment technicians and supporting staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment or asset management within the energy, oil & gas, or utilities sectors.
- Comprehensive knowledge of heavy equipment operations, maintenance practices, and industry safety standards.
- Proven leadership experience with demonstrated vendor management and contract negotiation skills.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with asset management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
